Tent vs Camper

Pop-up or put-up?
Sticking with the camping theme we established last week, I wanted to give my two cents about camping in a tent versus in a camper. Recently, my family purchased a pop-up camper that we have stored in our garage. Of course, we were super excited to try it out, so the following weekend we headed out to a nearby campground that was camper-friendly. It wasn't the normal wooded, adventurous campsite we were used to, but it was a nice place nonetheless.
It was a super fun trip; just a relaxing family weekend. We took my dogs, which isn't something we were able to do as easily when we were in the tent, so that was nice because I think they had a lot of fun too. Overall, there are pros and cons to both ways of camping.
Let's start with tent camping: there's a lot more variety in terms of where you can actually set up camp. We could take it to a campsite, or we could go backpacking, or we could do what we did in Red River Gorge. It's also a lot easier to transport. However, if there is bad weather, you're kind of screwed in a tent. Also, it's harder to set up camp.
When we compare that to camper camping: it's a lot easier to set up camp, and if it's storming you'll be much more secure with a hard roof. Trust me, I know from experience. Also, it's ten times safer- in terms of both security from people and animals. The door on the camper locks, so you and your belongings aren't able to be easily stolen. Plus, it's more difficult for an animal to get into the camper, whereas a bear could very easily demolish your traditional camping tent. But, the camper is also harder to transport, and there aren't as many cool locations you can take it to.
Of course, these are just based on my experiences. Go out and have your own adventure, and let me know what you think! Do you agree with my opinions, or did you have different ideas?
